Abstract

Abstract

This research examines the plumbing system at the Burj Khalifa. The source of clean water in this building comes from sea water which is processed using the thermal desalination method as the main solution for the production and distribution of clean water. Although this method requires a large amount of electrical energy, the result is high quality water that is safe for consumption. The use of this method is considered the most effective and efficient solution for buildings located in desert climates. To improve energy efficiency, it is recommended to explore more energy-efficient desalination technologies
