PENTINGKAH PERAN MANAJEMEN BAGI PENINGKATAN KUALITAS SEKOLAH ?

Abstract.

Is management important to improve school quality? This research to find out differences of school quality that implementing: (a) SBM model camparing to Non SBM, (b) SBM on public comparing to private schools, and (c) interaction between magagement model and school status to schools quality. Research located in Semarang City-Central Java with sample of 60 schools, use expost facto methode with statistical analysis of Anova. Research result shows there ware different school quality that implementing: (a) SBM model comparing to Non SBM, and (b) SBM on public schools comparing to private, (c) otherwise there was no interaction between SBM and school status.

Pentingkah peran manajemen bagi peningkatan kualitas sekolah? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kualitas sekolah yang menerapkan: (a) model MBS dibanding Non MBS, (b) MBS di sekolah negeri dibanding swasta, dan (c) interaksi antara model manajemen dan status sekolah terhadap kualitas sekolah. Lokasi penelitian di Kota Semarang-Jawa Tengah dengan sampel 60 sekolah, metode penelitian ekspost
fakto dengan teknik analisis statistik Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kualitas: (a) antara sekolah yang menerapkan model MBS dibanding Non MBS, dan (b) MBS pada sekolah negeri dibanding swasta, (c)namun tidak ada interaksi antara model manajemen dan status sekolah terhadap kualitas sekolah.
